Ghana continues to enjoy a peaceful and stable economic status and is experiencing modest economic growth. Inflation in 2005 is expected to be in a single digit. The merchant shipping Act has been revised to liberalise shipping in order to attract operation investment into the industry. Accra and Tema are the industrial and commercial cities and the main focus for shipping in the country. A high level of maritime activity also takes place in Takoradi. |
